West Midlands Rail Programme are transforming the region’s rail network through investing in new stations and network improvements to improve railway services in the West Midlands for everyone.
The £200m investment projects are to make it easier for people to access jobs, education, healthcare and leisure. This Programme will also give rail passengers a better experience as a £61 million investment scheme has been introduced to build three new Birmingham railway stations, to improve public spaces and encourage more people to use the train instead of driving for a greener world.
Malcolm Holmes, who is both executive director of WMRE and director of rail with TfWM, explained how, “this is a major milestone towards seeing passenger trains restored on the Camp Hill Line, and it will not be too long before the stations are complete and open to the travelling public”.
Join us at TransCityRail Midlands where Malcolm Holmes will be attending and delivering a keynote discussing the updates for this programme and how it will encourage economic growth within the region.
We will also be joined by many other leading figures within the Rail Industry, such as Gavin Crook, Principal Programme Sponsor, Network Rail & Tim Shoveller, Managing Director, North West and Central Region, Network Rail.
