The Rail Alliance celebrates its 600th Community Member
Celebrating 12 months since its formal integration as part of the University of Birmingham’s specialist rail facility, Birmingham Centre of Rail Research and Education (BCRRE), the Rail Alliance had plenty to shout about at its Annual General Meeting in Birmingham today. A particular highlight since the announcement in December last year has been the growth in membership with the Rail Alliance = almost doubling its community to over 600 organisations. These organisations span the entire rail industry spectrum, in addition to cross sector representation and international business sign ups which truly positions the Rail Alliance at the heart of the rail supply chain.
Recognising the significance of this expanding community, the Rail Alliance team presented its 600th member, CRM International, with a certificate to mark the occasion.
Stuart Taylor, Senior Business Development Manager at CRM International said “As supply chain specialists supporting the complex needs of aerospace, automotive and rail, being part of the Rail Alliance community not only offers CRM International an excellent opportunity to connect with rail businesses in need of innovative supply chain solutions, but we can also share best-practice knowledge with the community gained as result of our experience from other sectors.
Specialising in Business Development representation we provide a new and effective way of helping SME’s achieve strategic growth. Our full design, feasibility and manufacturing capabilities also offer our SME’s the flexibility to benefit from multi material and process solutions. The fact that we are being celebrated as the 600th member is wonderful news and a real testament to the Rail Alliance’s success in securing its position as the UK’s largest b2b community in rail.”
Alex Burrows, Managing Director of BCRRE and the Rail Alliance added; “The growth in the community is an important indication that the integration has been accepted as a positive move by the rail supply industry with many benefits for the Community to take advantage of. We are delighted to see so many engaged and proactive members of the Rail Alliance Community and warmly welcome CRM International as our 600th member!”
