A London-based student society that represents all aspects of engineering disciplines has become the latest organisation to enter into a partnership with RSSB.
The University of London Engineering Society (UCLES) is a 5,000-strong student society which aims to bridge the gap between the different engineering disciplines and to pave the way for collaboration opportunities and projects for students at UCL.
Through this arrangement RSSB hopes to provide UCLES with opportunities to members from across UCL’s seven different engineering-focussed societies by offering fellow students the opportunity to network and gain better knowledge of the rail industry.
Speaking at the launch of the agreement Chair Representative of UCLES, Alessia Aliaj, said:
‘We are delighted to announce that RSSB is now the latest organisation to partner with UCL Engineering Society (UCLES) as a Platinum Sponsor. The student society has over 5000 active members and strives to epitomise professionalism towards their members and sponsors alike by organising events, conferences and industry visits.
‘We look forward to working with RSSB in making this partnership a complete success in helping to support the engineers of tomorrow.’
RSSB’s Business Development and Engagement Director, Paul McLaughlin said:
‘At RSSB we are focused on creating the path for new generations to join the railway industry. We hope this partnership will demonstrate the opportunities available in the industry to some of UCL’s most capable and brightest students.’
