The Railway Industry Association (RIA) is the voice of the UK rail supply community, helping to grow a sustainable, high-performing, railway supply industry, and to export UK rail expertise and products. The number of RIA member companies has grown by over 50% in the past two years, and RIA is looking for a brand new team member to join us in London!
The successful candidate for this role will be outgoing, confident and have proven skills in building personal and productive member/client relationships, perhaps gained in an account management, sales, project or business development related role.
Ideally they will also have knowledge of the rail industry, and experience in developing partnerships and securing event sponsorships. Though most important is a clear enthusiasm and ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
Their main focus will be on building strong personal relationships with members and to ensure RIA responds to their needs.
He or she will work with the RIA team to track, develop and respond to new opportunities for growing the membership; and will play a lead role in increasing non-subscription revenue from sponsorship.
The Membership Engagement lead will be required to attend evening events, sometimes including overnight stays, in order to network with existing and prospective members, sometimes several times per month.
