This year, the evening will be hosted by Ms Naga Munchetty, journalist, broadcaster and television presenter.
The Women in Rail Awards aim to showcase and reward individuals and companies (large and small) who have made a significant contribution to improving gender balance, equality, diversity and inclusion in the UK railway industry.

Adeline Ginn MBE, Founder of Women in Rail and Director at CPMS Group says: “The last few months have been very challenging for many of us, but we have witnessed wonderful acts of kindness and compassion from colleagues in the railway. The Women in Rail Awards is an opportunity to celebrate those unsung heroes, to showcase them as roles models and to say a big thank you from all of us. So please nominate those who have inspired you and others and let us give them the recognition they deserve.”
This year, the nomination process has been simplified to make it easier to nominate. When establishing the shortlist for each category, the judges will focus primarily on the 750 words nomination form, with any supporting document only taken into account when deciding the winner among the shortlisted entries.
Nominations for the Women in Rail Awards 2021 opened on Monday 16 November 2020, with a closing date of Friday 5 March 2021.
Be the first to nominate and help demonstrate the industry’s commitment to supporting the Women in Rail agenda by celebrating those companies and individuals who work hard to improve gender balance, equality, diversity and inclusion in our sector in line with the objectives of the joint WR/RIA EDI Charter.
