Keven Parker, Lead Sponsor of RSN, said: “Excitement is really building about this year’s event with so many different businesses which we know will be of huge benefits to each other and visitors attending.

“It will be the ideal place to meet with buyers, suppliers, innovators and the providers of important services that keep the day-to-day railway running.

“Innovators, engineering companies and the services sector will be strongly represented, ensuring the show offers both the dependable services and the exciting innovators needed to transform the passenger and freight industry.

“With record levels of investment in the rail sector, this will give people the chance to network with all sizes of company, and offer them the opportunity to thrive.

“Partnerships will be struck and deals made, so it is an opportunity not to be missed.”

RSN follows on from the huge success of the sister event, Rail Infrastructure Networking, and comes after requests from rolling stock organisations to provide a similar event for their businesses.

Three Trade Associations plus CIRAS will also host their own events during the course of the day at RSN. There will be a series of technical and commercial presentations where visitors can hear about project successes, industry marketing news and innovative products and solutions.

  • The Railway Industry Association will present a series of presentations that look at the challenges in delivering an environmentally-friendly railway, innovation in rail and then move onto looking at commercial matters surrounding Brexit and the influx of new vehicles.
  • Rail Alliance will present the Rail Alliance and BCRRE’s combined capability for identifying, accelerating and connecting innovation. Informative sessions throughout the day will provide knowledge and insight regarding the rail sector’s procurement challenges.
  • Rail Forum Midlands will provide an engaging session on the subject of the Rail Sector Deal. There will also be a workshop related to schools engagement, apprenticeships together with SME collaboration.
  • CIRAS will be presenting information on the ever important and particularly poignant subject of safety on the Railway.
