E&P Design Engineer

Some fresh exciting positions have recently come in for E&P Designers at a range of levels! This will be to work on a variety of projects, within a specialist business who’s impressive order book has led to these positions becoming available.

General Responsibilities will include;

  • Prepare detailed technical specs through GRIP stages
  • Review and checking of documents
  • Producing 2D / 3D CAD drawings
  • Complete cable calculations in conjunction with document / drawings
  • Prepare risk assessments
  • Produce detailed programmes and provide accurate time scales and milestones for the projects
  • Production of Work Package Plans & Task Briefs
  • Prepare operation and maintenance manuals
  • Conduct occasional site surveys
  • Attend client meetings, IDC review’s as per project requirements
  • Awareness and understanding of current British Standards, Network Rail Standards, Railway Group Standards and CDM regulations
  • Fulfil the duties of Contract Responsible Engineer in line with CDM regulations & NR standards

 

Desired Criteria

  • Qualified to Degree, or higher level, in Electrical Engineering
  • Membership of relevant professional body
  • Knowledge of BS7671:2008 (Inc Amendment 3 2015)

Skilled using the following softwares:

  • AutoCAD
  • Bentley – Microstation v8i – Project Wise – eB
  • Amtech
  • Adobe Indesign
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Word / Excel
  • Relux
