ROLE
As CAD Technician you will be responsible for producing CAD related engineering commissions under supervision of more senior lead.
You will carry out and support the following duties:
- Assisting with the preparation of technical documentation and reports
- Assisting with the implementation of effective, value for money and innovative design solutions
- Maintaining high technical standards, consistent with the project brief under direction from the
Engineer
- Assist with contract preparation
- Preparing and assisting with drawing production
- Dealing with project related correspondence
- Maintaining a strong focused client relationship
- Assisting Engineers with inspection work, feasibility studies, report preparation, cost estimating,
Quality Assurance responsibilities
- Assisting the Network Team with site supervision duties when required
- Assisting in project administration
- Assisting with compliance to the relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations
ABOUT YOU
- Good communication skills within the team, clients, and public
- Willingness to learn
- Good IT skills
- Experience producing technically sound CAD related deliverables whilst complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements
- Proficient in use of spoken and written English language
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of MX
- Understanding and following procedures in line with CDM Regulations
- Experience working with structures maintenance / design teams
- Experience working with Local Government or Housing Associations
- Client facing aproach to service delivery
- Industry recognised CAD related qualifcation
- Personal Track Safety AC (PTS AC)
- Environmental Awareness Tool Box Talk
- Personal Highways Safety
- IOSH Working Safely
