ROLE

As CAD Technician you will be responsible for producing CAD related engineering commissions under supervision of more senior lead.

You will carry out and support the following duties:

  • Assisting with the preparation of technical documentation and reports
  • Assisting with the implementation of effective, value for money and innovative design solutions
  • Maintaining high technical standards, consistent with the project brief under direction from the

Engineer

  • Assist with contract preparation
  • Preparing and assisting with drawing production
  • Dealing with project related correspondence
  • Maintaining a strong focused client relationship
  • Assisting Engineers with inspection work, feasibility studies, report preparation, cost estimating,

Quality Assurance responsibilities

  • Assisting the Network Team with site supervision duties when required
  • Assisting in project administration
  • Assisting with compliance to the relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations

ABOUT YOU

  • Good communication skills within the team, clients, and public
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience producing technically sound CAD related deliverables whilst complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements
  • Proficient in use of spoken and written English language
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of MX
  • Understanding and following procedures in line with CDM Regulations
  • Experience working with structures maintenance / design teams
  • Experience working with Local Government or Housing Associations
  • Client facing aproach to service delivery
  • Industry recognised CAD related qualifcation
  • Personal Track Safety AC (PTS AC)
  • Environmental Awareness Tool Box Talk
  • Personal Highways Safety
  • IOSH Working Safely
