Two extra early morning services will be introduced on the Gospel Oak to Barking route from Monday 16 December to meet growing customer demand on this line.
The two new services, that will depart Barking at 05:39 and 05:54, will run on weekdays only and are necessary to meet growing customer numbers. New electric trains entered service on the line earlier this year.
Rory O’Neill, TfL’s General Manager for London Overground, said: ‘These two additional early morning trains are being introduced to meet growing customer demand on the route since the introduction of the new electric trains earlier this year.’
The route is operated by new Class 710 four-car trains. The new walk through, air-conditioned trains feature USB points and real-time information screens.
