UKRRIN INSPIRE: Delivering more value

RSSB and the UK Rail Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN) invite you to attend the next UKRRIN Inspire, Thursday 23 April 10:00am – 4:00pm at the RSSB Offices in London. This one-day event will set out UKRRIN’s next chapter, bringing funders, industry and research institutions together to explore research pipelines and collaboration opportunities.

UKRRIN is evolving…

Over the last eight years, the UK Rail Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN) has established itself as a powerful collaboration between academia and industry, able to provide a vital contribution to the advancement of rail research and innovation.

However, the rail industry has changed radically since UKRRIN was established in 2018 and continues to change with the creation of Great British Railways. This presents opportunities for the Network to deliver more value and play a stronger and inclusive role in the coordination and delivery of rail research and development. RSSB is delighted to host the next UKRRIN Inspire event, Thursday 23 April at the RSSB Offices in London.

Join RSSB:

• To explore the new arrangements being designed to enable universities and funders gain more value
• To understand the needs and help shape the research pipeline in three live industry challenge areas, with funding available for proposals.
• To understand how academic capabilities align with industry priorities
• To network with the UKRRIN community and build consortia

The event will also provide opportunities for rail industRy partners to be involved in a UKRRIN pilot covering research in the areas of vehicle/track, cost efficient electric traction power, and communication and positioning. By being involved, your organisation will have visibility of planned research and can propose new ideas for research in these areas as well as explore opportunities to leverage co-funding
