RIA Innovation Conference 2025 ‘Innovating and Transforming Rail for All’ takes place from 25-26 March 2025 in Wales.

Winner of the Best Long-Standing Association Event 2023 award and Memcom’s Best Event Award 2024, RIA Innovation Conference is back. It is a flagship event in the Unlocking Innovation programme from the Railway Industry Association (RIA) and brings together inspirational leaders, pioneering engineers, ambitious entrepreneurs and passionate railway professionals.

The event will combine an opportunity for attendees to share innovations, be inspired by technological and research advancements happening in the UK and around the world, engage with clients and suppliers to overcome barriers and, most importantly, have fun!

This year’s conference will include:

  • Carefully curated keynotes, giving you a diverse range of speakers, including political leaders, major clients, and innovators from other sectors.
  • An expanded exhibition, with the biggest ever hall available for innovators to showcase products.
  • TechTalks from suppliers and clients, sharing journeys of innovations.
  • In 2024 RIA partnered with the Train Operating Companies’ (TOC) Innovation Community to host supplier ‘Pitch Sessions’, offering innovators the opportunity to pitch ideas directly to TOC Innovation Managers. For 2025, this will be expanded.
  • Expanded partner research, development and innovation showcase.
  • Evening networking and dinner with a festival vibe.

RIA’s Innovation Conference is a significant learning opportunity. Delegates can register the event for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points with their professional institution.
