What to Expect
Attendees can expect conversation, camaraderie, and a shared love for the railway. RBF’s Retired Rail Community events are hosted by dedicated volunteers from the industry. Because they are part of the railway family, they understand and embrace its ethos. On certain dates, RBF hosts speakers and offers tours that cover everything about rail.
With special guest Pete Waterman.
Hear From Our Guests
“I loved working on the railways and wanted to feel part of it again. At these events, I can talk shop and take a trip down memory lane. Thank you, RBF!”
“Connecting with like-minded railway colleagues puts a spring back in my step, especially when we debate which is better: steam or diesel! You’ve created such a warm and friendly space—long may it continue.”
Who Can Come
If you have ever worked or volunteered in any capacity within the rail industry—including heritage, passenger, supporting staff, or freight—RBF warmly invites you. They love to see new faces, and booking a place is easy.
RBF knows many people want to stay connected to the railway industry they love, even in retirement. Their Retired Rail Community event is a place to meet new people and share rail stories. Join today to reunite the retired rail community.
