Rail Safety Week Conference

Rail Forum are delighted to launch our Rail Safety Week Conference which will take place on Monday 15 June at the National Railway Museum in York. Attendance is free to anyone wishing to book (until we reach capacity at the venue).

The 2026 conference will explore two key themes:

Lessons learned from the Cullen Report into the Ladbroke Grove rail crash and ensuring these aren’t lost during the current industry changes. Whilst the report is from some time ago, and there are new and emerging safety related issues we need to get to grips with, it is important we don’t forget the key messages from all those years ago. And indeed those key learning points from other incidents more recently.

Managing wellbeing during times of change. As we go through what is arguably the biggest upheaval in the industry for over thirty years we all have an important role in ensuring the wellbeing of our teams. This session will include a focus on Psychological Safety, some examples of current good practice and the importance of understanding our people.
