International Heavy Haul Association (IHHA) Conference 2023

The International Heavy Haul Association Conference 2023 will take place in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, from 27–31 August at the Windsor Convention & Expo Centre. It is being hosted by the International Heavy Haul Association (IHHA), in partnership with co-hosts MRS and Vale.

The theme this year is Application of Heavy Haul Innovations for a Sustainable World and the conference will include presentations of technical papers in research and development areas including rolling stock, vehicle track systems and energy efficiency. It will consist of a two-day pre-conference Technical Workshop, three days of the Main Conference Plenary and Parallel Sessions, social events and one day for a Technical Tour.
